The basic concepts of bodybuilding.
As you know, There are many training methods out there but the fact of the matter is not all methods build muscles. Training to build muscle and training to burn fat is totally a different thing. If you want to gain muscle, the fastest and most effective way is lifting weights. But theres one problem. Many people are not gaining muscle even though they train everyday. The reason is simple. The problem is that most people are lifting weights that are too light. There are so many people doing dumbell curls 30reps for years and wondering why their bicepts aren't getting bigger. The answer is simple. just stop using weights you can do 30 times and start using heavier weights. let me explain.
The body adjusts to the enviroment around them. This is the key in building muscle. Let's say you have to walk 20 miles everyday to work. What will happen is your legs will gain enough muslce to be able to walk that lenght. If you compare with some one that doesn't walk much and drives to work the chances are you will have more muscle and more stong legs. In this modern day life theres really no need to have muscle than you have right now. I don't think you stuggle every time going to the supermarket right?
So to build muscle you have to change your enviroment and this is where lifting heavey weights come in. If you can lift let's say a barbell 30 times you muscle has already adjusted to that weight and so no matter how many times you continue to lift it the muslce will not get any bigger. What you have to do is to select a weight that you can only lift 10 times. A weight that you can lift 10 times is pretty heavy and you will probably get exausted easily at first but remember that's a good thing. Now your telling your body the enviromet has changed. Now I(the body) have to lift something heavier.
After your training your body will start heal it's self but your body knows that it's not enought to heal the muscle but now it needs more strenghts to adatp to the new enviroment. So the body will not just heal it's self but make the muscle stronger than before so it can adjust to the new enviroment. This is the reason why you will gain more muscle mass by lifting heavier weight every time. This is one of the many basic consepts of bodybuilding. So always lift weights that are heavy for your body.
